"SamB's well-prepared food, professional service and assistance in planning combined to make a surprise retirement dinner for my wife a perfect evening for her and our 45 guests. SamB's catering Web site made the menu selection extremely easy. The two main entries — prime rib au jus and pecan chicken — received many compliments, as did the gourmet dessert tray and the excellent service provided by Sharon Downs. Both Sandy Daum and Sharon were eager to assist me in setting up the decorations. And Sandy and Kathy Walker were very helpful in discussing plans for the evening. I was very pleased that I selected Sam B's for this once-in-a-lifetime event."
"The fine quality, blend of flavors, the knowledgeable staff to explain properly how things are prepared and presented to make you love your meal before you even taste it. Thank you for the fine job you continue to do each time I am here."
"SamB's atmosphere is the best in town. With a great music selection, comfortable booths, good lighting and friendly staff you will feel comfortable whether you are a first time patron or a regular. The daily menu specials are always a treat, however you can't go wrong with the Philly Steak sandwich and a seasonal draft."
"My wife and I were traveling down Interstate 75 and around lunch time decided to try a downtown Bowling Green eatery. We took a chance on SamB's and were pleasantly surprised and pleased. The place wasn't jammed at lunch and we were seated promptly. Our service was great and our lunch dishes were excellent."
“Fast. Food's good. Pasta portions can feed two, and the cheesecake is great.” - Rachel
“This evening I ordered the Sam's Scallops, Portobello Ravioli, and a side salad with homemade ranch dressing. The food arrived quickly and still hot. The bacon-wrapped scallops were melt-in-my-mouth delicious; the bacon crisp and the scallops soft and buttery. I'd never had SamB's Portobello Ravioli but it is now a favorite local dish. The ravioli are served with tomatoes and spinach, the fresh, ripe tomatoes are uncooked, while the spinach is cooked, and the delicious dish soaks in a bath of herb olive oil. The raviolis were cooked to perfection with the portobellos savory and rich in flavor. Even the salad was a treat:crisp endives and veggies. No cheap iceberg lettuce here. And the homemade ranch was among the best I'd ever tasted. I'm looking forward to having this meal again and I'd recommend anyone hungry for quality cuisine sample SamB's. ” - Rick
"When my husband and I moved to Bowling Green we pretty much gave up on going out to eat because we could not find a place in town that we liked enough to keep going back. Then we found SamB's, they have a great variety with out having an over bearing menu and a good range of prices. The french onion soup is some of the best I have ever had!" - Emily
"I'm surprised to read some less than stellar reviews for SamB's. This is a fantastic place to eat and truly one of the best in BG.
They have a couple of good beers on tap. Try the Brooklyn IPA.
Also, the fried chicken dinner for $9.99 is a good value. You get four pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a vegetable (last night = peas). Last night, it was actually a little too much for me to finish, which is rare for me.
Inside, you have to like the quietness and ambiance, and it looks like they have some new art on the wall." - Brian
"We've never had a bad meal here! When friends visit from out of town, this is where we take them. Great grilled seafood on the weekends." - Diana
"There are only a couple of nice restaurants in BG, and SamB's is one of them. The atmosphere is quiet and classy - perfect for a date. I love restaurants that are nice, but you can still dress casually, which you can here. The staff is friendly and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. It is a bit pricy, but not outrageous. The one negative I will point out is that if it is very busy, service can sometimes be a little slow." - Tricia
